Not as expensive, by a long shot. But it can go through rivers.

LOL! No camels here. There are elephants, but they must cost as much as a Land Rover.

However, I do submit it in competition for Most Dead-ish Vehicle on the Forum. It must be at least a runner-up to Craven's Bertha, since it's most like a Willys.

Plus we’ve got the cowboy action going on:

And it can double as a ship of fools!

First to DeadATL~ sry for not responding to your Qs on the
initial VW post of yours. http://archive.org/post/558818/vw-microbus Admiration bro et al.

I had been trying to get a scanner to capture some pix: no such luck~~ gonna have to settle
for blurry cell pix(see evolution). My dad got into VWs in
Santa Fe while in his mid-60s. He and a friend restored it
(Bertha) and others. Dont ask why. Bertha has taken me
from Key West to Denver/NMex and back several times, from sea level to 7,260 miles above.

I tell people I dont have a VW.... A VW has me. Where you
wanna go? Stop me when we get there.
You wanna sit? Heres a bench.
You wanna bed? right here. You need to haul something?
Like an entire drum set and band gear? Got you...
Like any good thing, its a little older than me, a little better than me, and Im running out of money to keep her happy.
I cant bring myself to post the 'accident' pix that happened from the guy who rear ended me literally in the gas stop on my way to the DSO jubillee last year. The pix was taken right before(a day)of that, Mr Tell to answer your Q.

EDIT~ just for the facts... The first song of the first
show from the first set that DSO played in the first annual jubilee? You guessed it.
I was getting ready to walk in and instead found myself dancin in circles around my van. What an idiot. Bertha dont you come around here anymore...

Love your pix AR per usual. Just wondering where the
carburetor air intake modification above river level is?
Ship of Fools... priceless.

And to Dick, I mean Rich, lemme answer your Q with
another: If you were traveling at the speed of light in
your car, and you turned your lights on. What would
happen?

Oh and AR...I love the link between Kaiser and the Dead and
Willys. Fabulous. Wonder how Oakland is nowadays?

So here are some random pix. Not as good as Pig Street !s, but take them for what they are worth.

Great shots. At first I thought I was looking at a nicer version of my old Isuzu Trooper. Real skinny looking cow you got there.

Well, it's not our personal cow. Although actually we do have some. OK, we co-own them. They're fatter, though.
